Vaction in Palm Desert

We spent an amazing week in the desert. Both my parents and Dan's parents have time shares there, so they invited us to come up and spend some time with them.

We spent a lot of time at the pool. Reese is a dare devil when it comes to the water. She loved the water slide. She doesn't even want me to go with her. I can already tell Hudson is going to be the same way. He hated being in one of those baby rafts; he wanted to swim just like his big sister.

Hudson LOVES watermelon. This kept him entertained for a little bit.

Papa took Reese for a little ride. She kept telling him, "I do it myself Papa". I'm in trouble!

The hotel had a play ground, so in the evenings we spent lots of time here. Reese and Hudson loved playing in the cars together. I love watching them play together. She can be so sweet with him, when she wants to be.

One day it was really hot outside so we descided to take a break from the pool. We went to the Children's Discovery Musuem of the Desert. It was a blast! In the back of the musuem there was a play market and pizza parlor. It looked real; there was play cash registers, food, shopping carts, play clothes, and an atm machine. I LOVED it just as much as Reese did. I am so excited to check out the one in orange county.

Thanks Don, Kathy, Mom and Dad for a great time. Can't wait for next year.

Sunday Fun Day

Sunday Fun Day used to be a day when I went to the beach with girl friends and bar hopped to all the local bars. Today things are much different. This Sunday was a great day because I spent an amazing day with my kids. I wouldn't trade these days for anything. I took the kids to the Irvine Spectrum, our home away from home. We went to our favorite lunch spot, Wahoos, went on the carousal, and of course got some yummy frozen yogurt. We ended the day at Dan's sisters house to watch the Chicago Bears game.

Reese starts school

The first day was a lot harder than i thought it was going to be. Reese is usually miss independent, but not that day. She totally freaked out. The second day was much better, but the drop offs are still hard. She says she loves school and her teachers but once we get into the classroom she starts holding on for dear life. Hopefully each day will get better. Here are some pictures pre drop off.
